Should I remove a stain by dabbing or wiping?

You should remove a stain by wiping!

A moist carpet or upholstery is very vulnerable. If you start dabbing, structural damage is definitive. This damage cannot be undone. You have removed the stain, but this damage remains visible and will probably bother you even more than the original stain did.

Please act as follows: Use a cotton cloth and wipe the stain gently using wide sweeping strokes. Do not rub.

Other question:

1 Black marks 'spontaneously' appear on the carpet.
2 The stain vanishes at first, but keeps coming back.
3 Footprints quickly appear on carpet although everyone takes off their shoes.
4 Dark ring around table that is seldom used. It looks as if the carpet is discoloured.
5 Black marks under a sofa or armchair, or areas not normally in use or trodden on.
6 Black stripes under the door.
7 Rust marks or brown stains in the carpet.
8 Is carpet suited for persons suffering from allergies?
9 Can a dried stain still be removed?
